Biography
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Viçosa (1990), Master's Degree in Reproductive Physiology at the Federal University of Viçosa (1993) and PhD in Animal Production, Interaction Nutrition and Reproduction at the Department of Animal Science at Universidade Federal de Lavras 1999). Postdoctoral PhD in Animal Physiology-Reproduction at the University of Murcia-Spain. He is currently Professor of Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Lavras. He has experience in the area of ​​Animal Nutrition and Reproduction, adviser of masters and doctoral students in the postgraduate programs in Animal Science and Veterinary Sciences of UFLA, working mainly on the following topics: Hormonal induction techniques of reproduction of freshwater fish, preservation of semen of swine and fish using cooling and freezing, physiology of reproduction of fish and mammals. He acted as Coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences at UFLA 2008 to 2010. He was President of the Bioethics Commission and member of the UFLA Biosafety Committee. He was Dean of Research at UFLA between December 2010 and May 2012 and Advisor for the Implementation of the Lavras Science and Technology Park from May 2012 to April 2013. He coordinated the Lato sensu Postgraduate course in Pharmacology: updating and new perspectives. He is currently a representative member of the Mineira Network of Bioter- ism and Researcher member of the National Institute of Science and Technology in Animal Science - INCT, Reviewer of national and international scientific journals physiology of reproduction of fish and mammals. He acted as Coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences at UFLA 2008 to 2010. He was President of the Bioethics Commission and member of the UFLA Biosafety Committee.
